Anti-PEG antibodies
To allow sensitive measurement of PEGylated compounds, we developed the first monoclonal antibodies (AGP3 and E11) with specificity for PEG in 1999. These antibodies can be employed to measure PEG-modified protein by ELISA.
Since that time, we have generated additional high affinity anti-PEG monoclonal antibodies.
AGP4 and rAGP6 are high affinity IgM antibodies that can effectively capture PEGylated compounds for sensitive detection by ELISA.
3.3 is a IgG anti-PEG antibody that is compatible with wash buffers containing Tween 20 detergent.
6.3 and r33G are high affinity IgG antibodies that provide sensitive detection of PEGylated compounds.
15-2b is a high affinity antibody that binds to methoxy PEG.
We also recently developed a temperature responsive anti-PEG antibody (2B5) that can reversibly bind and release PEG by thermal cycling.
IgG antibodies
E11 is a first generation IgG mouse monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to the backbone (repeating ethylene oxide subunits) of PEG.
3.3 is a higher affinity anti-PEG monoclonal antibody. It is compatible with buffers containing Tween-20.
6.3 binds with high affinity to PEG but cannot be used with buffers containing Tween-20.
15-2b binds with high affinity to the terminal methoxy group of mPEG.
r33G is a rat IgG monoclonal antibody that binds a wide spectrum of PEG molecules with high affinity. It can be used with Tween-20.
IgM antibodies
AGP3 is a first generation IgM monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to the backbone of PEG.
AGP4 is a higher affinity anti-PEG IgM monoclonal antibody. It works well for capture of PEGylated compounds in ELISA.
rAGP6 is a rat IgM monoclonal antibody that binds with the highest affinity to PEG.
These antibodies can be employed to detect and quantify PEG-modified molecules in immunoblots, by ELISA and by flow cytometry.
