Protein G Magnetic Beads
Protein G Magnetic Beads are an affinity matrix for the small-scale isolation and purification of immunoglobulins. Specifically, the beads consist of a truncated form of recombinant Protein G that is covalently coupled to a nonporous superparamagnetic particle.
- Exhibits high affinity for subclasses of IgG from many species including human, rabbit, mouse, rat and sheep
- Can be used for immunoprecipitations with mouse monoclonal antibodies
- The protein is coupled through a linkage that is stable and leak resistant over a wide pH range. This permits the immunomagnetic purification of IgGs from ascites, serum or cell culture supernatants
- The matrix can be regenerated without loss of binding capacity
- Can be used to immunoprecipitate target proteins from crude cell lysates using a selected primary antibody. In addition, specific antibodies can be chemically cross-linked to the Protein G coated surface to create a reusable immunoprecipitation bead, thereby avoiding the co-elution of antibody with the target antigen
- Binding capacity: 1 ml of Protein G Magnetic Beads binds >280 µg of Human IgG
- Quick, small-scale purification of many subclasses of IgGs affords higher throughput and efficiency

Oligo d(T)25 Magnetic Beads
Oligo d(T)25 is covalently coupled to 1 μm superparamagnetic particle through a linkage that is stable and leak resistant over a wide pH range, thereby permitting the small-scale isolation of mRNA from crude cell lysates and tissue. The isolation occurs through the hybridization of covalently coupled oligo d(T)25 to the poly(A) region present in most eukaryotic mRNAs.
• Allows for direct mRNA isolation following lysis and second-round purification of previously isolated total RNA
• The magnetic separation technology is scalable and permits elution of intact mRNA in small volumes, thereby eliminating the need for precipitation of the isolated mRNA
• Beads can be reused up to three times
• The isolated mRNA can either be eluted or the bound d(T)25 can be used as a primer in a first-strand cDNA reaction

Streptavidin Magnetic Beads
Streptavidin Magnetic Beads are 1 µm superparamagnetic particles covalently coupled to a highly pure form of streptavidin. The beads can be used to capture biotin labeled substrates including antigens, antibodies and nucleic acids.
- The strength of the biotin-streptavidin interaction, an association constant (Ka) of 1015 M-1, coupled with the low non-specific binding of streptavidin permits captured substrates to be useful as ligands in subsequent experiments including mRNA isolation, nucleic acid enrichments and the capture of primary or secondary antibodies
- Other applications include 5-hmC detection and analysis, methylated DNA analysis, and solution-phase panning in phage display experiments
- Binding capacity: ≥30 µg biotinylated antibody per mg and >500 pmol of single-stranded 25 bp biotinylated oligionucleotide per mg
- High binding capacity and low non-specific binding of proteins make this bead ideally suited for protein isolation applications
- Quick, small-scale purification of biotinylated proteins affords higher throughput and efficiency

An affinity matrix for the small-scale immunomagnetic separation and purification of mouse IgGs. Specifically, the beads consist of anti-Mouse IgG that is covalently coupled to a 1 μm nonporous superparamagnetic particle.
- This secondary antibody binds the heavy chain of mouse IgG and is suitable for immunoassays that employ a mouse IgG primary monoclonal antibody
- Cell separations and sorting can be accomplished using a mouse IgG antibody to defined cell surface antigens
- Binding capacity: 5 μg mouse lgG/mg Goat Anti-Mouse IgG Beads
- Matrix can be regenerated with no loss of binding capacity
