Histone H3.2 Human, Recombinant

Histone H3.2 is an H3 variant that is found in all eukaryotes, except budding yeast. It is replication-dependent and is associated with gene silencing.

  • Identity confirmed using Edman Degradation to sequence intact protein; mass confirmed by ESI-TOF MS

Histone H4 combines with Histone H3 to form the H3/H4 tetramer. Histone H4 is also modified by various enzymes and these modifications have been shown to be important in gene regulation.
